A short Witchcraft quest around the Pinewood Clearing, with no fighting. The rewards are 300 Witchcraft XP, a Bone Divination Set, 1 Quest Point and the Read the Bones divination.

Requirements: Witchcraft 5 and A Witch's Welcome.

  1. Talk to Emelie in the Pinewood Clearing and choose Ask about The Bones Don't Lie. She gives you 2 Bone Fragments.

  2. Open the ritual book at any ritual circle and perform Read the Bones (Divination tab). Choose the middle bone, as the book says. The answer is the same one Emelie keeps getting.

  3. Tell Emelie what the bones said. She sends you to the Hollow Clearing just north-west of her cottage.

  4. In the Hollow Clearing (around (65, 44) in the North Wilderness), use your Hagstone Charm from the backpack (Look through). A scratch-marked stump appears for 90 seconds; choose Follow the trace on it. You find Emelie's real divination bones.

  5. Talk to Emelie with the Bone Divination Set in your backpack. You keep the set.

Notes

  • After the quest, Read the Bones points you towards the nearest ritual circle or hidden site you have not found yet. Casting the Bone Divination Set from your backpack gives the same pointer (5 minute cooldown).
  • Players who had already performed Read the Bones before this quest existed keep the divination.
