Quest preparation

Game data

Items you need to hand in or show during the quest, and the quickest known ways to get them. Items given to you by NPCs during the quest are not listed.

3× Raw Meat (kept) Buy from Miller Bram for 16 coins; Drop: Alpine Kite (1/5) and 8 more.
  • 3 Raw Meat, plus a few spares in case some burn. Martin only checks that you have them; the meat is used up when you cook it, not by Martin.
  • Best sources: Cows in the pen south of the barn (always drop 1–2 Raw Meat), Wild Horses (always 1–2), Sheep and Chickens (sometimes).
  • A heat source: Martin's own stove inside his house is the easiest. Any campfire works too (you need a Sparker, which Frida gives away, and a log).

Walkthrough

Guide

Complete solution, including boss tactics and story reveals.

0 of 4 steps checked
  1. Talk to Martin (outside around (73, 46) by day, otherwise inside, door at (72, 45)) and choose Talk about Martin's Proper Meal. If you already carry 3 Raw Meat he skips straight to the cooking part.

  2. Collect 3 Raw Meat and talk to Martin about the quest again. He checks your backpack and moves you on to cooking.

  3. Cook meat until three pieces come out as Cooked Meat. Burnt pieces (Burned Meat) do not count; below Cooking level 20 meat can burn. Only meat you cook after reaching this step counts, so Cooked Meat you made earlier does not help.

  4. Talk to Martin about the quest once more to finish.
